Abstract
Carbon-14 labelled beta-methyl-iodohexadecanoic acid (MIHA) was obtain ed in a four step sequence using (NaCN)-C-14, starting from trahydropy ranyloxy-2-methyl-pentadecanol-p-toluene sulfonate 7. The specific rad ioactivity was 55 mCi/mmol and the radiochemical yield 41% of the theo retical maximum.
