Abstract
Based on a recent Dirac R-matrix (close-coupling) calculation, we pres ent results for various spin-polarization parameters for elastic and i nelastic scattering of slow (E(kin) less than or similar to 2 eV) pola rized electrons from unpolarized and polarized neutral Cs atoms in the ir ground state. Our results allow for a quantitative estimate of the importance of relativistic effects, and our calculated parameters clea rly deviate from predictions obtained by just jj-recoupling the result s of a non-relativistic calculation.
