Abstract
Thermal stability regimes of silicone based protective coatings have b een examined by means of SEM and a.c. impedance techniques. It has bee n found that the coating has successfully passed the heat resistant te st according to the ASTM specification D 2485. Analysis of these resul ts obtained by the above-mentioned techniques reveals that an interest ing correlation is found in conjunction with the heat resistive nature of the coating studied.
