Abstract
Single crystals of LiBePO4.H2O were grown hydrothermally and character ized by X-ray structure analysis, which proved the BeO4 and PO4 tetrah edra linked by common corners to be distributed in a completely ordere d manner establishing polar channels extending parallel to [001] which accommodate water molecules bound to Li+ cations.
