Abstract
The notion of local l(p)-stability is defined. The relationship betwee n this notion and Lyapunov stability is clarified. A local version of the small gain theorem is then established in the case of discrete-tim e systems. These results are applied to stability analysis of a nonlin ear discrete-time delay system.
