Abstract
It is argued that the altitude of radio emission region depends on pul sar period approximately as P0.5. The emission originates near the pol ar cap in millisecond pulsars and a few hundred km away in longer peri od pulsars. The magnetic field in the emission region seems to be abou t 10(6) G independent of the pulsar period and characteristic age.
