A. Elhendy et al., ASSESSMENT OF PATIENTS AFTER CORONARY-ARTERY BYPASS-GRAFTING BY DOBUTAMINE STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY, The American journal of cardiology, 77(14), 1996, pp. 1234
Detection of myocardial ischemia is the hallmark of noninvasive evalua
tion of graft function(1-5) after coronary artery bypass grafting (CAB
G). Exercise electrocardiography was shown to have a limited accuracy
in this clinical setting.(3) Recent studies have demonstrated a high a
ccuracy of exercise echocardiography for the detection of significant
graft or progressive native coronary artery stenosis.(3-5) However, an
alternative stress modality is required for patients with limited exe
rcise capacity.
