Abstract
The genus Botanophila Lioy is recorded for the first time from Taiwan. Five species are reported: B. chui, sp. nov., B. kanmiyai, sp. nov., B. alishana, sp. nov., B. maculipes (Zetterstedt, 1845), and B. nigrig enis (Suwa, 1974).
