N. Labuschagne et Jm. Kotze, CONTROL OF GROUNDNUT BLACKHULL AND ITS CAUSAL FUNGUS CHALARA ELEGANS WITH FUNGICIDES, Plant Pathology, 45(3), 1996, pp. 540-546
Fungicides wen tested for activity against Chalara elegans, in culture
, in artificially infested soil columns and in field experiments. Prop
iconazole and etaconazole were the only two fungicides which performed
well in all tests, and provided effective control of blackhull of gro
undnuts in the field. The most effective treatments in thr field were
etaconazole foliar spray and propiconazole granular treatment applied
over the plant real at planting, providing respectively 64% and 46% di
sease reduction is comparison with the untreated controls.
