Abstract
We report a new polydiacetylene compound that exhibits excellent optic al limiting properties with reverse saturable absorption. The optical limiting properties of this compound were measured at 532 nm, using 8 ns pulses, and compared with a C-60 solution in toluene with a transmi ssion of 60%. The limiting threshold and limiting amplitude values are 110 mJ/cm(2) and 150 mJ/cm(2) respectively for a sample with a transm ittance of 56%.
