Abstract
We report the electronic structure of Fe2+ in the wurtzite-structure i ron-based semimagnetic semiconductor Cd1-xFexS in the spectral range 1 0-90 cm-1 at temperatures of 1.6 and 4.2 K. A strong spectral anisotro py is observed. All of the experimental spectra are well explained by crystal-field theory.
