Abstract
A particular lattice coupling of the conduction-band electrons in C60 is investigated in detail. For this purpose, a model Hamiltonian is us ed which is based on results of previous ab initio correlation calcula tions for the molecule. It is found that this coupling is enhanced by interaction effects of the electrons although they are only weakly cor related.
