A cyclodextrin-modified micellar capillary electrophoretic method was
developed for the chiral separation of 2-methyltaurine. The racemic mi
xture was separated after derivatization with dansyl chloride. The ena
ntiomeric separation of the dansyl derivative was done using electroly
te solutions containing beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) or different ratio
s of beta- and gamma-CD. The mixture of beta- and gamma-CD optimally r
esolved the compound studied.
