Abstract
This work presents a comparison between the classical development in t hin layer chromatography and the multiple development, the programmed multiple development and the automated multiple development. The last technique was used for the separation of some alcaloids and glicosides . Finally, the performance index, Ip introduced by Gocan and Liteanu, was applied for the optimization of the obtained separation.
