Abstract
The use of ultraviolet light as a source of energy of accelerated dryi ng of printed matter compared with some of the other various applicati on processes using this technology. The emphasis is on printing inks a nd coating varnishes based on the free radical polymerisation mechanis m. The causes of unsatisfactory drying ore summarised and the use of m ore reactive prepolymers, reactive diluents and photoinitiators, is pr esented as a solution to those problems.
