Abstract
A comparison between conventional heating and microwave heating of ''L AS'' glass-ceramics and composites made of SiC continuous fibers and L AS matrix shows that the temperature of nucleation and the nature of t he nucleation-and-growth process in LAS are modified by the microwave treatment.
