Abstract
Two notching devices for sample preparation of single edge notched spe cimens and polymer pipe sections have been designed, fabricated and te sted. The apparatuses are capable of producing a notch with high preci sion up to a third decimal place. The utilization of these notchers in the Physical Test Laboratory at Novacor Chemicals Ltd has lead to imp roved consistency in test results and has simplified the sample prepar ation process.
