The research and development works on molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC
) are being carried out worldwide as one of the most promising power g
eneration systems for next generation. For the commercialization of MC
FC, however, further improvements are necessary on MCFC technologies i
ncluding the stack lifetime. From this point of view, MCFC Research As
sociation is conducting the development of new material technologies t
o achieve the longer stack life. The basic stage of the development ha
s almost been completed for each technology and the verification of th
e aimed function is currently underway.
