Abstract
Crystal correlation study of acidic and sterically unhindered C-H grou ps (chloroform, dichloromethane and terminal alkynes) forming short co ntacts with carbonyl accepters, reveals a soft but significant prefere nce for the conventional carbonyl lone-pair direction.
