Abstract
The interaction of bare Pd2+ ions with framework oxygen in PdNaX calci ned at 500 degrees C results in an unusual Si-29 MAS NMR band at delta -79.5; line intensities indicate that bare Pd2+ ions are located pref erentially close to highly basic sites exhibiting the Al richest envir onments; the strong Pd2+-framework interaction is reversibly released upon hydration/dehydration.
