Abstract
-Bis(3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylidene)ethylenediamine H(2)L reacts with [ Y(N(SiHMe(2))(2)}(3)(thf)(2)] in thf-hexane at ambient conditions to a fford monomeric [YL{N(SiHMe(2))(2)}(thf)], the X-ray structure determi nation of which reveals a strongly bent coordination mode of the anion ic salen derived ligand.
