Abstract
The title compound 2, a very close derivative of the still elusive eth enedione (1), was generated by photocleavage of the three different pr ecursor molecules 7-9 in an argon matrix at 10 K. The structure elucid ation of monoxime 2 is based on the comparison of the experimental and calculated IR spectrum.
