Abstract
The title complex was synthesized in an aqueous solution of Sc(ClO4)(3 ), and its crystal structure was determined by an X-ray diffraction me thod. The complex has an infinite chain structure, built from dimeric units. Two scandium ions are combined by three simple bridging carboxy l groups from three glycine molecules. Only one type of bonding mode o f the carboxyl groups is represented. Scandium exhibits an octahedral configuration. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
