I. Groma et Gs. Pawley, COMPUTER-SIMULATION OF PLASTIC BEHAVIOR OF SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Philosophical magazine. A. Physics of condensed matter. Defects and mechanical properties, 67(6), 1993, pp. 1459-1470
A computer simulation model is proposed to investigate the plastic beh
aviour of single crystals oriented for single slip. The dislocation sy
stem consists of parallel edge dislocations. The velocity of a disloca
tion is proportional to the local shear stress and the generation of n
ew dislocation dipoles is allowed. It is shown by computations on an A
MT DAP that by applying a constant shear rate the stress-strain relati
onship corresponds to stage I of single-crystal plastic deformation, a
nd a long-range undulation appears in the stress field of the dislocat
ion system.
