The prediction models for scintillation variance of ITU-R and Karasawa

rter than originally considered for these models. It is shown that eve

asured valiance is found. Both models predict higher scintillation var
iance than is measured al 19.8 GHz on a 12.7 degrees elevation path in
Kirkkonummi, Finland.
