Abstract
The authors analyse the design of a novel type of regenerated WDM soli ton system combining both techniques of synchronous modulation. and di spersion management. An optimised 4x20 Gbit/s WDM system with amplifie r/regenerator spacings of 50/350km is simulated numerically, showing t he potential of the technique for high bit rate soliton systems.
