TOWARDS AN INTEGRATED MODEL FOR SUPPORTIN G COLLABORATIVE TELELEARNING

This paper deals with the design of a cooperative learning support env ironment embedded in a computer mediated communication and tutoring sy stem in distance education context. It describes a cooperative learnin g support model based on a cooperation between intelligent agents in a distributed system. This model is founded on an explanation of the le ader's task which may be assigned to a facilitating agent and the cont ext in which this leadership occurs. Its originality arises from that it is oriented not into the assistance provided to students, but rathe r into the assistance offered to any resource which has to facilitate both team and distant learning in a computer-supported tutoring enviro nment.
