USE OF MATERIAL MODELS

The technical status of numerical calculation methods designed for the cold processing and working of steel as well as the material models r equired for this purpose ale described. Tile accompanying material dat a necessary for such calculations are also explained, giving examples of use. The influence of the cross-linking of sheet blank and tool as well as of friction on the simulation results is discussed. Selected e xamples of cases in which cross members, welded blanks and composite m aterials are subjected to forming processes document the capability of the simulation.
