The study was conducted among 225 tribal women in 8 villages of Tamia
block and 7 villages of Pipariya block of Chhindwara and Hoshangabad d
istricts, of Madhya Pradesh respectively. Generation of income in anim
al husbandry (AH) was higher in roadside villages and higher the level
of employment in AH, higher was the income generation from this secto
r. Communication behaviour, productivity of milch animals, level of as
piration and respondents' attitude toward productivity, income generat
ion, employment generation and livestock rearing as an economic enterp
rise were positively and significantly correlated, whereas family size
and attitude toward minor forest produce (MFP) as an economic enterpr
ise were negatively bur significantly correlated with income generatio
n from AH.
