F. Mitschke et al., ADDITIVE-PULSE MODE-LOCKED ND - YAG LASER - AN EXPERIMENTAL ACCOUNT, Applied physics. B, Photophysics and laser chemistry, 56(6), 1993, pp. 335-342
Additive pulse mode locking applied to lamp-pumped Nd:YAG lasers resul
ts in an attractive source of picosecond pulses at 1.06 mum or 1.32 mu
m with average powers at the Watt level. We provide detailed informati
on on construction and operation and give data on performance. A modif
ied active stabilization scheme allows not only improved stability of
operation but also insight into the dynamics of pulse formation.
