Abstract
A relativistic study of electrical resistance in a one-dimensional fin ite crystal with rectangular barrier type of atomic potentials is repo rted. The procedure applied is based on an appropriate relativistic ge neralisation of Landauer's non-relativistic treatment of electrical re sistance for a finite number of potential barriers. The relativistic i mpact on electrical resistance in our model is studied only in regard to the velocity of electrons. The quantitative extent of such an impac t is critically discussed.
