Abstract
The incidence of eating disorders appears to be increasing, with the d ental practitioner potentially being the first healthcare worker to ma ke a diagnosis, due to the characteristic dental signs of tooth substa nce loss. It is therefore important that members of the dental team ar e aware of the dental sequelae of anorexia and bulimia and are able to offer advice and treatment to sufferers.
