Qw. Song et al., ELECTROOPTIC BEAM-STEERING DEVICE BASED ON A LANTHANUM-MODIFIED LEAD-ZIRCONATE-TITANATE CERAMIC WAFER, Applied optics, 35(17), 1996, pp. 3155-3162
We demonstrate a lanthanum-modified lead zirconate titanate ceramic-ba
sed electro-optic beam steering device that has a 3 mm x 3 mm working
area. A series of resistors were made by evaporation of chromium onto
the substrate to produce and control the required voltage distribution
among the electrodes. A steering angle of 0.04 degrees was obtained w
ith an applied voltage of 700 V. Design considerations, computer simul
ations, and experimental results are presented. (C) 1996 Optical Socie
