Abstract
A new method is presented in this paper to solve the optimal planning problem of distribution substations. The procedure proposed here does not require candidate substation locations and can automatically selec t the optimal sizes, locations and service areas of substations in pow er distribution systems. In addition, an effective solution algorithm is also presented. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
