Abstract
The involvement of human leukocyte elastase (HLE) in several inflammat ory processes and the reported inhibitory effect of ursolic acid on HL E has prompted the authors to start investigation on the effects of ac etyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid (AKBA) on serine proteinases includin g HLE.
