K. Tsukagoshi et al., CHARACTERIZATION OF DYESTUFF-CONTAINING LIPOSOME BY CAPILLARY ZONE ELECTROPHORESIS USING ONLINE CHEMILUMINESCENCE DETECTION, Chemistry Letters, (6), 1996, pp. 467-468
Eosin Y-containing liposome solution as a sample was migrated and dete
cted by capillary zone electrophoresis for the first time with a chemi
luminescence detection using peroxyoxalate system. Two peaks were reco
rded on the electropherogram; the first one was due to Eosin Y entrapp
ed in liposome and the second one due to free Eosin Y in the bulk solu
tion. The electropherogram comprising the two peaks offered various in
formations of liposome, such as size distribution, stability, permeabi
lity, or surface charge.
