Abstract
Naphthalene incorporated in LB monolayer films has been found to exhib it two types of fluorescence emissions due to the monomer and the dime r. The dimer fluorescence corresponds well to those observed in crysta l under extraordinary high pressure and in naphthalene paracyclophanes .
