Abstract
Sidisterone (1), the first C-24 ecdysteroid, has been isolated from tw
o species of the Caryophyllaceae in the genus Silene (S. dioica and S,
otites) and identified through H-1-, C-13- and multidimensional NMR a
nd molecular modeling techniques.
