Abstract
We have studied the properties of a new type of Gas Microstrip Counter built using flexible printed circuit technology. We describe the manu facturing procedures, the assembly of the device, as well as its opera tion under a variety of conditions, gases and types of radiation. We a lso describe two new passivation materials, Tantalum and Niobium, whic h produce effective surfaces.
