Abstract
Large size HgI2 single crystals were grown using the Modified Temperat ure Oscillation Method (MTOM) with low dislocation densities in a rela tively stable temperature environment. Radiation detectors were fabric ated from the single crystals which showed good energy resolution with small polarization.
