Abstract
It is pointed out that the solution to the electrostatic problem of an Belated conducting ellipsoid is a far-field approximation. To show th is conclusion, several existing methods are discussed Some basic probl ems, such as singular field distribution, are then commented upon. (C) 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
