Abstract
The thermotropic main chain polyester poly(decamethylene-4,4'-diphenox y terephthalate) has been studied by FTIR spectroscopy. Tentative band assignments are given for the spectra at room temperature. The FTIR e xperiments were carried out as a function of the temperature and the t hermal history in order to correlate the spectroscopic changes detecte d in the corresponding spectra with the phase transitions of the liqui d crystal polymer.
