Abstract
From Abri Herba, the whole plant of Abrus cantoniensis (Leguminosae), ten new oleanene saponins together with thirteen known ones were isola ted. Among them, four saponins called abrisaponins L, A. D-1 and Ca ha ve been elucidated to be galactopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucuronopyra nosyl (designated as beta-fabatriosyl) abrisapogenol L (1), 3-O-beta-f abatriosyl abrisapogenol A (2), 3-O-beta-fabatriosyl abrisapogenol D(3 ), and 3-O-beta-fabatriosyl cantoniensistriol (4), respectively.
