Abstract
The contributions of the minimal chiral two-pion exchange nucleon-nucl eon potential for some selected observables are studied by means of th e variable phase method. We conclude that chiral symmetry is responsib le for important cancellations, which are related to those occurring i n pion-nucleon scattering.
