LAPAROSCOPIC MANAGEMENT OF PEPTIC-ULCER DISEASE

The development of laparoscopic vagotomy has provided a permanent oper ative treatment for peptic ulcer disease with low rates of morbidity a nd mortality. Laparoscopic vagotomy may be an alternative to permanent pharmacologic therapy for peptic ulcer disease, with a lower recurren ce rate of disease and less overall expense to the patient.
