FUEL OF CREMATION FROM NORTH-WEST ITALY

In this work, are presented the results of charcoals analysis of 10 ne cropolis from N-E Italy. The site's ages are from IXth century B.C. to IInd century A.D. The analytical methodology has been differentiated on the evidence of three different ways of accumulation of charcoals d ue to different cremation rites. Palaeoecological reconstruction, usin g samples from necropolis, must be carefully checked because the Inter pretation of results couldn't be reliable owing to an intentional choo se of species in different rites and/or a manipulation subsequent the cremation.
