For the first time in Bulgaria, results of an anthracological and carp
ological analyses are presented together. The material is coming from
5 archaeological settlements located on all the bulgarian area. Charco
al analysis evidenced some taxa : cf. Pinus sp., Gymnosperme, Acer sp.
, Carpinus/Ostrya, Fagus sylvatica, Fraxinus sp., cf. Prunus sp., deci
duous oaks, Ulmus sp., Vitis vinifera, Rosaceae pomoideae, Rosaceae, F
raxinus/Juglans. The study of Iron age seeds gives : Triticum monococc
um L.. Triticum diccocum Schrank., Hordeum vulgare L., Hordeum vulgare
var. nudum During Roman period, we note Triticum aestivo/compactum. S
ecale cereale L.and Panicum miliaceum L. appear.
