A. Tanaka et T. Jo, THEORY OF RESONANT INVERSE-PHOTOEMISSION IN CE COMPOUNDS, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 78, 1996, pp. 131-134
Information obtained from resonant inverse photoemission(IPE) in Ce co
mpounds at the Ce 3d and 4d core threshold is theoretically discussed
on the basis of the Anderson impurity model taking into account the fu
ll multiplet. By bearing in mind the result of analysis of the IPE spe
ctrum at the 3d threshold for CeNi2, that the 4f-ligand hopping integr
al in the state with a 3d core hole must be reduced to similar to 1/3
from that in the state without the core hole, an expected incident ele
ctron energy dependence of IPE spectrum of CeNi2 near the Ce 4d core t
hreshold is discussed.
