H. Nishimoto et al., UNUSUAL PHOTOELECTRON ANGULAR-DISTRIBUTION OF KISH GRAPHITE, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 78, 1996, pp. 465-468
Two-dimensional patterns of angle-resolved photoemission are measured
on Kish graphite for s-polarized synchrotron radiation. Very wide acce
ptance cone allowed us to discuss the photoelectron intensity variatio
n up to second Brillouin zone(Ba) in detail. Observed symmetry-broken
patterns are theoretically discussed. It is found that an interference
of photoelectron waves from non-equivalent sites provides imbalance i
n different BZs and the gross feature tells us the symmetry of the ini
tial state.
