We have carried out a comparative study of the electronic structure of
in-situ synthesized quasi-one-dimensional organic conductors (DMe-DCN
QI)(2)Cu and (MeBr-DCNQI)(2)Cu using various electron spectroscopic te
chniques (UPS, XPS, and AES), where DMe-DCNQI and MeBr-DCNQI are 2,5-d
imethyl-N,N'-dicyanoquinonediimine and 2,5-methyl,bromine-N,N'-dicyano
quinonediimine, respectively. From these results, we discussed the dif
ferences in electronic structures between two salts that lead to their
different electrical and magnetic properties.
